Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting – Stakeholders Forum

The Stakeholders’ Forum of the 9th Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting (9CYMM) provides a space for youth sector stakeholders to influence policy-making across the Commonwealth.

Held in Kampala, Uganda, between 31 July and 1 August 2017, the forum takes place before the ministerial summit. This year’s theme is Resourcing and Financing Youth Development: Empowering Young People.

Delegates include youth workers, representatives of development agencies, donors and partners, regional bodies and other youth focused organisations, human rights coalitions and academic institutions.

For stakeholders, the forum provides an opportunity for dialogue with governments and to deliver resolutions on issues of common concern. It will conclude with a set of recommendations made to ministers.

The forum is led by the Commonwealth Association of Youth Worker Associations and the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Youth Affairs, with support from the Commonwealth Secretariat and Government of Uganda.
