Climate Finance Access Hub - Jamaica

A Climate Finance Access Hub adviser was mobilised in Jamaica in April 2017, working with Jamaica’s Climate Change Division within the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, to help the country build the capacity to successfully bid for the pledged climate funds.

Climate change consultant Katherine Blackman is the first national advisor mobilised. Ms Blackman previously worked with funding agency Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme.

Through the support of the Hub, Jamaica has received a US$0.6 million grant to fund REDD+ readiness actions as part of its Forest Policy.
